The Universal Standard: The MX Cross Stem (+)
Virtually the entire mechanical keyboard industry revolves around the iconic Cherry MX standard. Nearly every modern mechanical switch features a cross-shaped stem (+) measuring 4×4 mm.

Which keyboards will NOT fit?
There are a few proprietary switch formats that do not use the universal MX cross stem. Check carefully if you own one of the following:
Logitech Romer-G / Omron
Older Logitech G models (such as G810, G910, G413 Romer-G) feature square clips instead of a center cross. These are incompatible.
Kailh Choc Low-Profile (v1)
Ultra-thin low-profile keyboards with two thin parallel pins cannot take standard MX keycaps.
Membrane / Rubber Dome Keyboards
Non-mechanical office keyboards use a single silicone membrane sheet and do not support custom keycaps.
Standard Topre
Electro-capacitive Topre switches feature round sliders (unless modded with aftermarket MX slider adapters).
Key Sizes: 1u, Spacebars & ANSI vs. ISO
In keyboard terminology, keycap width is measured in “u” (Units), where 1u equals the size of a standard single alphanumeric key (e.g. the A key or Escape key):
1u Artisan Keycaps (Escape / F-row)
Virtually all our handmade artisan keycaps are standard 1u size. This means they fit any standard slot on your keyboard — perfect for your Escape key, top F1-F12 function row, or arrow keys.
Spacebars (6.25u Standard)
Our artisan spacebars (such as the Katana Spacebar) feature the universal standard length of 6.25u. This is standard on Keychron, Ducky, Wooting, Glorious, and 95% of custom builds.
Many compact 65% and 75% boards feature a shortened 1.75u Right Shift rather than standard 2.75u. Our comprehensive 130-key sets include all necessary alternate modifiers.
